What is MeshLab?
MeshLab is a free, open-source system for processing and editing 3D triangular meshes, originally developed at the Visual Computing Lab of ISTI-CNR in Italy. It provides tools for cleaning, repairing, inspecting, rendering, and converting 3D mesh data in formats such as OBJ, PLY, and STL. It is widely used in 3D scanning workflows, scientific visualization, and digital heritage applications.
