Why convert INDD to PM6?
Adobe InDesign was released in 1999 to replace PageMaker; the migration has always run from PageMaker into InDesign, never in reverse. InDesign has no ability to export to .pm6 format, PageMaker was discontinued in 2004, and no third-party tool implements this conversion - there would be no usable destination for the file even if one existed.
How to convert INDD to PM6
Adobe InDesign APP
Export to PDF via File > Export > Adobe PDF to distribute the layout; this is the standard format for sharing an InDesign document with recipients who lack InDesign.
Adobe InDesign for Mac APP
Save as IDML via File > Save As > InDesign Markup Language so Affinity Publisher or QuarkXPress can open and edit the layout without needing InDesign installed.
