BC! File

Files with the BC! extension belong to the category of temporary files.

What do BC! files contain?

The content of files with the BC! extension are resources whose downloading via the BitTorrent network has not yet been completed. Many BitComet client users utilize this format. Files with the BC! extension store incomplete information of the target resources. For this reason, BC! files usually cannot be properly opened, especially in the initial period of downloading.

What are BC! files used for?

Files with the BC! extension are automatically generated after the downloading process starts in a client that supports this kind of solution. The user can stop the downloading at any time, and information about its progress will be saved in the BC! file. This makes it possible to resume the interrupted process at a later time. Creating a BC! file usually involves reserving space on the computer's hard drive that will be occupied by the target file. This way, the software secures resources in case of filling the disk space by other applications.
