Why convert UNITY3D to FBX?
FBX is the standard interchange format for 3D content. Extracting meshes from a .unity3d to .fbx lets you import them into Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, or any 3D application for editing, rigging, or re-use outside Unity. The .unity3d format is a proprietary binary bundle with no native export button, so a community extraction tool is the only route.

- Each mesh in the bundle becomes a separate
.fbxfile - there is no single combined export of the whole bundle. - Materials and textures must be exported separately as PNG or JPG and re-linked manually in the target application.
- Compiled C# scripts, physics colliders, and Unity-specific shader properties are not carried over to FBX.
