ETE File

Files with the .ETE extension contain an exam - questions in various formats stored in a binary manner using a design tool. Exam Testing Engine is a format developed by Vumingo. The exam testing application is available on various platforms - Windows, macOS, iOS, Android. The Lite version allows for conducting an interactive exam, while the Pro package also provides the ability to create and edit exams.

What Can an ETE Exam Look Like?

The paid tool for creating and managing exam simulations offers rich possibilities for diversifying the form of exam questions. These can be:

• single or multiple-choice questions,
• fill-in-the-blank questions,
• matching elements,
• "drag and drop",
• hot spot type questions.

The ETE file format is similar to files with the .VCE extension - Visual CertExam Suite, yet it is not identical. A single ETE file contains the entire exam and its elements.

Opening and Converting ETE Files - Exam Testing Engine Tests

ETE files can only be opened in the Vumingo Exam Testing Engine software. The Vumingo portal also facilitates their convenient online transfer. However, an option to convert them into PDF format is available through a dedicated online converter. There is also the possibility to create an ETE exam file by converting a DOC or .TXT document in the Vumingo software.
