DMSD File

Files with the DMSD extension store two-dimensional movie designs for 2D films created using Roxio MyDVD software. These can be dedicated to various media, not only DVD but also VCD, SVCD, Blu-ray, or AVCHD. The software also allows for the creation of 3D projects, but these are stored in DMSD3D files. The Roxio Creator suite is dedicated to preparing home DVDs.

What can a DMSD project contain?

DMSD movie projects allow for specific video material editing, creating presentations. The project file contains information about the data and the modifications made, such as:

• Special effects,
• Transitions,
• Location of video and photo materials,
• Slideshows, photos.

A DMSD project can only be opened within Roxio's branded software - Creator for editing or MyDVD for material realization on a disc. It is a proprietary format.

Using DMSD files in Roxio software

The DMSD project file allows for saving the editing state of video or photo materials without actually changing the source files. The realization of the project creates the final material. This can be done using the Videowave output, exported in another format, or saved on an optical media. MyDVD program facilitates not only the direct recording of the ready project in the form of a disc but also saving its image or DVD directories.
