XMDX File

In files with the .XMDX extension, final answers to examination questions of a person taking the test are stored. The exam is conducted using SofTest software. .XMDX files are created after the test is concluded based on earlier working documents. This is a proprietary format, and the data are encrypted. The software can automatically send the file or files in .XMDX format for verification by the examiner after the test is completed.

Handling .XMDX Files in SofTest

Exam files to be filled in the SofTest client software are saved on the computer with the .XMZX extension. At the start of the exam, this file is deleted and replaced with a working file .xmwx. In addition, backup files are also created every specified number of minutes. In the end, when the user confirms the completion of the exam, the final working file and the .XMDX file with answers are created. It is treated by the software as a completed exam, and there is no longer any possibility to modify it.

Manual Sending of SofTest Answer Files

In case of problems with the automatic handling of .XMDX files, the SofTest software manufacturer provides the possibility of manually sending ready answers. Then, it is possible to deal with .XMDX files. These should be located on the computer's disk in the SofTest archive or exam directory. Subsequently, they must be sent through a special window available after logging in to the software manufacturer's website.
