What is the ROZ file format?
.roz is the native project file format for aSc TimeTables, a school timetabling application developed by aSc Applied Software Consultants s.r.o. in Slovakia. The extension derives from the Slovak word *rozvrh*, meaning 'timetable' or 'schedule'.
A single .roz file stores a complete timetable project: teacher and classroom lists, subjects, student groups, grade levels, period definitions, scheduling constraints, and the generated timetable assignments. The format is compressed and proprietary; files can only be opened by aSc TimeTables.
aSc TimeTables is actively maintained with annual releases - the current version is aSc TimeTables 2027 as of 2026. Files are generally compatible across consecutive release years. The format supports exchange between the desktop application and the EduPage online timetabling platform. On Windows, a companion launcher roz.exe is registered as the file-type handler, allowing .roz files to be opened directly.
