What is the PTP file format?
A file with the .PTP extension is a file known as ACT! Modem Sync. It belongs to the Settings Files category. This format is associated with The Sage Group plc.
The reliable way to open a .PTP file is with software that recognises this exact format, rather than guessing from the file name. If you are not sure what created a file, our file identifier can read its first bytes and name the real format, even when the file has been renamed.
We are still gathering the list of programs that open .PTP files. A fully verified, hand-written description of this format is being prepared; until then, the details on this page are drawn directly from our database.
