What is the DATASOURCE file format?
A file with the .DATASOURCE extension is a file known as Microsoft Visual Studio Data Source. It belongs to the Developer Files category. This format is associated with Microsoft Corporation.
The reliable way to open a .DATASOURCE file is with software that recognises this exact format, rather than guessing from the file name. If you are not sure what created a file, our file identifier can read its first bytes and name the real format, even when the file has been renamed.
We are still gathering the list of programs that open .DATASOURCE files. A fully verified, hand-written description of this format is being prepared; until then, the details on this page are drawn directly from our database.
