What is the CCF file format?
A .ccf file is a CryptLoad Container File - an encrypted download link container produced by the CryptLoad download manager. It packages a set of URLs pointing to files hosted on one-click file-hosting services, along with optional per-link passwords and a package name, all wrapped in a weak encryption layer.
Internally, a .ccf file is an XML document encrypted with an RC4-based scheme. The encryption was reverse-engineered and publicly cracked around 2010-2011, making the format's security essentially non-existent today. CryptLoad itself has been inactive since around 2012 and its website is no longer maintained.
The .ccf format is related to DLC (Download Link Container), which became the more widely adopted standard for encrypted link containers and is natively supported by JDownloader 2. JDownloader 2 can also import .ccf files directly, making it the most practical tool for working with legacy containers today.
Note that the .ccf extension is also used for OS/2 Multimedia Viewer configuration files - an entirely unrelated format. In the context of download management it always refers to the CryptLoad container. Files are small - typically 1 KB to 50 KB - as they contain only link metadata, not the downloaded content itself.
Security & safety
RISK: MEDIUMCCF files themselves contain only URLs and passwords - no executable code. However, the downloads they point to may contain malware. Sources distributing CCF files are often related to piracy; downloaded archives should be scanned before extraction. The CCF encryption is broken, so the content (URLs, passwords) can be read by anyone with the right tool - do not put sensitive information in CCF files.

How do I open a CCF file?
Use JDownloader 2 (jdownloader.org, free). Go to File > Add Links and select the .ccf file, or drag-and-drop it onto JDownloader. The download URLs and passwords will be imported automatically.
Is CryptLoad still available?
No. CryptLoad was abandoned around 2012 and its website (cryptload.info) is defunct. Use JDownloader 2 instead, which supports the CCF format.
