Why convert OXPS to DOCX?
OXPS (ECMA-388, 2009) stores every character as a glyph run at a fixed X/Y coordinate on a fixed canvas - it is closer to a printout than a draft document. DOCX, introduced with Word 2007 as ISO/IEC 29500, is built around paragraphs, headings, and flowing text. Any converter claiming .docx output from OXPS either inserts uneditable page images or dumps OCR-guessed text with all formatting stripped.
