Why convert OXPS to XPS?
OXPS (ECMA-388, 2009) is the default fixed-layout document format on Windows 8 and later; XPS follows Microsoft's original 2006 spec. Both are ZIP packages using Open Packaging Conventions with XML page markup, differing only in namespace and version. Windows 7's built-in XPS Viewer and older XPS-aware print drivers accept only .xps, making conversion necessary for those environments.
