What is RFA file?

RFA files are unique data files native to BIM (Building Information Modeling) software Autodesk Revit Architecture, a tool for architectural modeling and design. Single RFA can store data for at least one 3D model that can be exported into a 3D scene project 3D using Revit software.

How to open file with RFA extension?

Step 1. Install Revit Architecture software

The procedure to change the default program in Mac OS

• Right-click the RFA file and select Information
• Open the Open with section by clicking its name
• Select the appropriate software and save your settings by clicking Change all
• A message window should appear informing that This change will be applied to all files with RFA extension. By clicking Continue you confirm your selection.

Step 4. Check the RFA for errors

Should the problem still occur after following steps 1-3, check if the RFA file is valid. It is probable that the file is corrupted and thus cannot be accessed.

1. Verify that the RFA in question is not infected with a computer virus

Should it happed that the RFA is infected with a virus, this may be that cause that prevents you from accessing it. Immediately scan the file using an antivirus tool or scan the whole system to ensure the whole system is safe. RFA file is infected with malware? 2. Ensure the file with RFA extension is complete and error-free
