What is the NCOMP file format?
A file with the .NCOMP extension is a file known as SAM Dirichlet Mixture Prior Library. It belongs to the Misc Files category. This format is associated with Richard Hughey - Kevin Karplus - Anders Krogh.
The reliable way to open a .NCOMP file is with software that recognises this exact format, rather than guessing from the file name. If you are not sure what created a file, our file identifier can read its first bytes and name the real format, even when the file has been renamed.
We are still gathering the list of programs that open .NCOMP files. A fully verified, hand-written description of this format is being prepared; until then, the details on this page are drawn directly from our database.
