What is the ERV file format?
A file with the .ERV extension is a file known as ER Mapper ASCII Header. It belongs to the Misc Files category. This format is associated with ERDAS, Inc..
The reliable way to open a .ERV file is with software that recognises this exact format, rather than guessing from the file name. If you are not sure what created a file, our file identifier can read its first bytes and name the real format, even when the file has been renamed.
We are still gathering the list of programs that open .ERV files. A fully verified, hand-written description of this format is being prepared; until then, the details on this page are drawn directly from our database.
