What is the ERT file format?
A file with the .ERT extension is a file known as Heroes Of Might And Magic 3 Script. It belongs to the Misc Files category. This format is associated with The 3DO Company.
The reliable way to open a .ERT file is with software that recognises this exact format, rather than guessing from the file name. If you are not sure what created a file, our file identifier can read its first bytes and name the real format, even when the file has been renamed.
We are still gathering the list of programs that open .ERT files. A fully verified, hand-written description of this format is being prepared; until then, the details on this page are drawn directly from our database.
