What is the ARP file format?
.arp is a binary replay file produced by *Audition Online* (also known as Audition AyoDance), a rhythm-based dance MMO developed by T3 Entertainment. The format records a player's complete dance session so it can be shared and replayed within the game.
An .arp file stores a timestamped sequence of player input events - the dance moves and key presses performed during a single song - synchronized to the game's built-in music track. The file contains no audio data; it is a pure input log that the game client replays against its own local audio. File sizes range from roughly 10 KB to 500 KB depending on song length and session complexity.
The format is entirely proprietary and undocumented. No magic byte signature has been publicly confirmed, and the file is meaningless outside the *Audition Online* game client. Replays can be accessed from the game lobby to watch or share with other players.
The game's official North American servers, operated by Redbana Corporation, shut down on August 30, 2023. Unofficial community servers such as Audition Galaxy (launched 2023) continue to operate and may still support .arp replay playback.
