What is WordPad?

WordPad is a basic word processor bundled with Microsoft Windows since Windows 95. It supports RTF, plain text, and older DOC files with simple text formatting but lacks the advanced features of Microsoft Word. Microsoft removed it from Windows 11 24H2 in 2024.
