What is the HM2 file format?
A file with the .HM2 extension is a file known as Help & Manual Help File Project. This format is associated with EC Software GmbH.
The reliable way to open a .HM2 file is with software that recognises this exact format, rather than guessing from the file name. If you are not sure what created a file, our file identifier can read its first bytes and name the real format, even when the file has been renamed.
We are still gathering the list of programs that open .HM2 files. A fully verified, hand-written description of this format is being prepared; until then, the details on this page are drawn directly from our database.
