What is Netpbm?
Netpbm is an open-source toolkit of command-line utilities for creating and converting images in the portable bitmap formats: PBM (black and white), PGM (grayscale), and PPM (color). It originated from Jef Poskanzer's Portable Bitmap toolkit and is maintained on SourceForge. Netpbm is commonly used on Unix-like systems for image format conversion in scripting and automated pipelines.
