What is Microsoft Outlook Express?
Microsoft Outlook Express was an email client and newsgroup reader developed by Microsoft and bundled with Windows from version 95 OSR2 through Windows XP. It supported POP3, IMAP, and SMTP for email as well as NNTP for newsgroups, and stored messages in the proprietary DBX format. Microsoft discontinued it with Windows Vista, replacing it with Windows Mail.
