Bash

Bash (Bourne Again SHell) is the default command-line shell for most Linux distributions, developed as part of the GNU Project originally by Brian Fox and maintained by Chet Ramey. It is a Unix shell and scripting language that interprets interactive commands and executes shell scripts. Bash also serves as the default shell on macOS prior to Catalina and is available on Windows through the Windows Subsystem for Linux.
