¿Qué es el formato de archivo KWZ?
Un archivo .kwz contiene un flipnote, la animación estilo folioscopio que se crea en Flipnote Studio 3D. Nintendo lanzó la aplicación para la Nintendo 3DS en Japón el 24 de julio de 2013, y más tarde en América del Norte y Europa. Cada archivo almacena una serie de fotogramas dibujados a mano, y cada fotograma tiene tres capas de dibujo tomadas de una pequeña paleta fija de colores. Debido a que la pantalla de la 3DS es estereoscópica, cada capa también lleva un valor de profundidad, por lo que un flipnote puede reproducirse en 3D. El sonido se incluye en hasta cuatro pistas de un códec de audio ADPCM personalizado.
Internamente, un .kwz es una serie de secciones etiquetadas: un encabezado, una miniatura de 80x64, las imágenes de los fotogramas comprimidas, una tabla de metadatos por fotograma y el audio. Seguridad y protección
RIESGO: LOWA .kwz is a passive animation data file with no scripting or executable code, so opening one cannot run a program. Every genuine flipnote is RSA-signed, and an unmodified 3DS rejects files that fail the signature check. The main caveat is that files from unofficial sources may not validate on real hardware, but they pose no security risk to a computer.

There is no single fixed whole-file signature. A KWZ is a run of 8-byte-headed sections whose 4-character tags start with a capital K (KFH file header, KTN thumbnail, KMC frame data, KMI frame metadata, KSN sound). A normal flipnote opens with the KFH section, so the first three bytes are usually 'KFH', but folder-icon and comment variants of the format start with other sections.
