Reason

Reason is a digital audio workstation developed by Propellerhead Software (now Reason Studios) that models a virtual rack of synthesizers, samplers, sequencers, and effects units. It stores songs in .rns/.rsn format and uses the .rx2 format for REX2 sliced-loop files created with the companion ReCycle tool. The software targets music producers and is known for its rack-based routing interface.
