What is Parasolid?
Parasolid is a geometric modeling kernel developed and licensed by Siemens Digital Industries Software that serves as the underlying 3D geometry engine for many commercial CAD applications including Solid Edge, NX, and SolidWorks. It represents solid and surface geometry using boundary representation and exports models in .x_t (text) and .x_b (binary) formats.
