What is GPSBabel?
GPSBabel is a free, open-source GPS data conversion and device communication utility developed by the GPSBabel.org project. It converts GPS waypoints, tracks, and routes between over 100 formats used by different GPS devices and applications, including KML, GPX, and proprietary device formats. GPSBabel also supports direct serial and USB communication with GPS receivers for uploading and downloading data.
