GNU Make

GNU Make is a build automation tool maintained by the Free Software Foundation that determines which parts of a program need to be recompiled and issues the appropriate commands. It reads rules from Makefile files that describe dependencies between source files and build targets. It is the standard build tool on Linux and other Unix-like systems and supports a wide range of languages and toolchains.
