What is Dzip?
Dzip is a lossless compression tool created by Evan Wagner, specifically optimized for compressing Quake engine demo recording files into .dz archives. It achieves substantially better compression ratios on Quake demos than general-purpose compressors such as ZIP or GZip. It is widely used by the speedrunning community at Speed Demos Archive.
