What is Dev-C++?

Dev-C++ is a free, open-source IDE for C and C++ programming developed by Bloodshed Software for Windows. It bundles a MinGW-based GCC compiler with a code editor and debugger, and was one of the most widely used beginner-oriented C++ development environments in the early-to-mid 2000s.
