What is BRL-CAD?
BRL-CAD is an open-source solid modeling CAD system developed by the US Army Research Laboratory, with continuous development dating back to the 1980s. It provides tools for constructive solid geometry modeling, ray tracing, geometric analysis, and ballistic and thermal simulation. It is one of the oldest continuously developed open-source software projects and runs on multiple platforms.
