LinuxWas ist das ZHELP-Dateiformat?
Eine .zhelp-Datei ist ein Ziphelp-Paket, ein offenes Hilfe-Dokumentationsformat der EC Software GmbH, dem Unternehmen hinter dem Autorenwerkzeug Help+Manual. Es handelt sich um ein Standard-.zip-Archiv, das mit der Dateiendung .zhelp versehen wurde. Im Inneren befinden sich eine sitemap.xml-Datei sowie die .html-Themen, Bilder und Stylesheets, die das Hilfesystem einer Softwareanwendung bilden.
In der sitemap.xml findet die eigentliche Arbeit von Ziphelp statt. Sie erweitert das gewöhnliche Sitemap-Protokoll um Hilfe-Kontextnummern, Hilfe-Schlüsselwörter und assoziative Schlüsselwörter, sodass ein Viewer direkt zum richtigen Thema springen kann, wenn ein Benutzer innerhalb einer Anwendung F1 drückt. Da das Format ausschließlich auf HTML, .xml und ZIP basiert, hat EC Software es so konzipiert, dass es auf Desktop-, Mobil- und Webplattformen läuft, anstatt an Windows gebunden zu sein. Es wurde 2023 in Help+Manual 9.3 als offene Alternative zum älteren .chm-Format eingeführt.

RISIKO: LOWA .zhelp file is a ZIP archive of HTML and XML documents, so the container itself is not executable. As with any archive from an untrusted source, extract before trusting embedded links or scripts, and scan large downloads. There is no macro or code-execution mechanism defined by the Ziphelp format.
