Why convert EPS to DWG?
A designer may supply artwork as .eps while an engineer needs to work with that geometry in AutoCAD - for example, to add dimensions or incorporate it into a larger drawing. This is a workflow bridge between graphic design and CAD. .dwg is the native AutoCAD database format, dating from 1982.
How to convert EPS to DWG
Adobe Illustrator APP
Open the .eps natively, expand live effects via Object > Expand Appearance, then export as DXF or DWG via File > Export > Export As; open the result in AutoCAD and save as .dwg.
CorelDraw Graphics Suite APP
Import the .eps, simplify the artwork as needed, then use File > Export to save as DWG or DXF directly.
PolyTrans|CAD+DCC APP
Open the .eps in PolyTrans and export to DWG format as a dedicated format-conversion step.

- Only clean line art and simple paths translate into usable CAD geometry; gradients, live effects, and embedded raster content produce no meaningful DWG entities.
- Text in
.epsmay be converted to outlines during export, becoming non-editable paths in the DWG. - DXF is the standard intermediate format; if your CAD application only accepts DWG, open the exported DXF in AutoCAD and save as
.dwg.
