Wat is het REDDITVAULT-bestandsformaat?
Een .redditvault-bestand is een versleutelde back-up van de herstelzin voor een Reddit Vault-wallet. Reddit Vault is de crypto-wallet die is ingebouwd in de Reddit-apps voor Android en iOS. Het bevatte Community Points zoals Moons en Bricks, samen met Collectible Avatars, die allemaal draaien op het Arbitrum Nova Ethereum layer-2 netwerk.
Wanneer u een Vault aanmaakte, genereerde de app een unieke herstelzin van 12 woorden in de BIP-39 mnemonische stijl. Tijdens de installatie werd u gevraagd de zin op te schrijven en een cloud-back-up op te slaan. Die back-up is het .redditvault-bestand, geüpload naar uw eigen Google Drive op Android of iCloud op iOS. Binnenin bevat het bestand .json-tekst die de versleutelingsmethode en de versleutelde versie van de zin vastlegt. De seed-woorden zelf worden nooit in klare tekst opgeslagen.
Beveiliging & veiligheid
RISICO: HIGHA .redditvault file protects access to a crypto wallet. Although the recovery phrase inside is encrypted, anyone who obtains the file plus the password or cloud credentials could attempt to restore the wallet. Keep it private, never share it, and do not upload it to untrusted services. The file itself is not executable and carries no malware risk, but its contents are sensitive.
