How to convert POTX to PPSX
- Add your .POTX file - drop it in the box above or click to browse.
- Convert it to .PPSX in a few seconds.
- Download your new .PPSX file.
What to expect
- A POTX has no slides, so the resulting show is built from template layouts, not authored content.
- PPSX opens in playback mode; it is the same underlying content as a PPTX, just set to run on open.
- Font substitution or approximation of PowerPoint-specific effects can cause small visual shifts.
Frequently asked questions
What happens to a template when it becomes a PPSX slide show?
A POTX defines themes and layouts but contains no slides, while a PPSX is a self-playing slide show. The conversion yields a show based on the template's layouts rather than a deck of authored content.
Why convert POTX to PPSX?
PPSX opens directly into full-screen playback instead of the editor, so it is useful when you want the template's design shown as a running show rather than as an editable template.
Where does a PPSX open?
Microsoft PowerPoint, LibreOffice Impress, Google Slides, and PowerPoint for the web all open PPSX. To edit it afterward you open it in an editor and save as PPTX.
Is any design detail lost going through LibreOffice?
Both formats are OOXML packages, so themes, masters, and layouts transfer well. Fonts missing on the converting system and some proprietary effects may render differently.
