Why convert MDX to DMG?
MDX is a DAEMON Tools single-file optical-disc image (CD/DVD sector data) produced on Windows, while DMG is an Apple UDIF disk image designed to distribute macOS software using Apple-specific filesystems such as HFS+ or APFS. Converting one into the other would require extracting files from the disc image and repackaging them into a macOS volume container - two separate operations on two different platforms, not a format conversion.

- A DMG is an Apple-specific container for macOS software; it has no relation to optical-disc emulation and cannot hold the same data as an MDX.
- If you only need the files inside the MDX on macOS, converting to ISO and mounting it in Finder is the practical solution - a DMG is not necessary for that.
- DAEMON Tools is Windows-only; there is no macOS version that can mount or convert MDX files.
