Why convert MDX to MDF?
MDX was created by DAEMON Tools around 2009 specifically to replace the older two-file .mdf + .mds scheme by combining raw sector data and track layout into one file. Converting back is only necessary when a legacy burning tool or disc manager requires the .mdf + .mds pair and has not been updated to handle .mdx or ISO.
How to convert MDX to MDF
DAEMON Tools FREE
Right-click the .mdx in DAEMON Tools' image catalog, choose Convert or Export image, and select MDF/MDS as the output format. The free Lite edition supports this.
