Why convert MDS to ISO?
MDS/MDF is a two-file format from Alcohol 120%/DAEMON Tools requiring virtual-drive software to use. .iso is a single, universal optical-disc image that Windows 10 and 11 mount natively with a right-click, and that virtually every burning and emulation tool accepts. Converting removes the dependency on Alcohol or DAEMON Tools and makes the image portable.
How to convert MDS to ISO
UltraISO APP
Go to File > Open and select the .mds file; UltraISO loads the paired .mdf automatically. Then go to Tools > Convert, set the output format to Standard ISO, and click Convert.
PowerISO APP
Go to Tools > Convert, select the .mds file as the source image, set the output format to ISO, and click OK.
ISOBuster FREE
Open the .mds in ISOBuster, right-click the disc icon in the left pane, choose Extract CD Image, select ISO format, pick a destination folder, and confirm.
