Why convert IFO to VOB?
An .ifo file is a binary navigation index introduced with the DVD-Video specification in 1996 - it stores menus, chapter pointers, and audio/subtitle maps but contains no video. A .vob file is an MPEG-2 Program Stream container holding the actual multiplexed video, audio, and subtitles. The IFO points to the VOBs; it does not contain or duplicate any of their content.

- The VOB files holding the video are already in the VIDEO_TS folder alongside the IFO; no conversion is required to access them.

.bupsibling in the same folder is a byte-for-byte backup - rename it to the IFO filename to restore navigation. - Any tool claiming to convert IFO to VOB either does nothing useful or renames the file; the result will not be recognized as valid video.
