Why convert IFO to AVI?
An .ifo (DVD-Video Information File) provides the navigation map that DVD players use to locate titles and chapters; the video data is in the companion .vob files. Converting the full title to .avi is primarily useful for very old hardware - players and car head units from before 2010 that accept AVI but not MP4. For any modern device, MP4 is a smaller and more compatible choice.
