Why convert ICS to VCF?
ICS (iCalendar, RFC 5545) holds calendar events (VEVENT), tasks (VTODO), and reminders (VALARM) with scheduling data such as start times and recurrence rules. VCF (vCard, RFC 6350) holds contact records with names, phone numbers, and addresses. Despite both formats using a similar BEGIN/END block structure - a coincidence of shared standards origin - they serve entirely different purposes with no common data fields.
How to convert ICS to VCF

- Import the
.icsinto your calendar app and export contacts separately as.vcffrom your contacts app - there is no shortcut that combines both in one step. - An ICS file may list ATTENDEE fields with an email address and display name, but these are not full contact records and cannot be extracted as vCards automatically.
- Both ICS and VCF are plain-text line-based formats from related internet standards, but they are not interchangeable.
