Why convert GIF to TXT?
A GIF file stores LZW-compressed pixel data - a grid of color-indexed values organized into one or more frames - with no embedded text. A .txt file holds plain text characters. The two formats share no data in common. Running a GIF through a converter that outputs TXT produces an empty file, garbage bytes, or a Base64 encoding of the binary, none of which is a usable text document.

- GIF contains no embedded text data. The only scenario where text can be extracted from a GIF is when the image visually displays readable text - and that requires OCR, not a file converter.

- Bulk conversion sites list GIF-to-TXT as an option to capture search traffic. The output is not a usable text file.
