Why convert ADF to ZIP?
An ADF (Amiga Disk File) is a binary floppy-disk image from the late 1980s. ZIP-compressing it reduces the file size for sharing - a standard 880 KB double-density ADF typically compresses to around 200-500 KB. Distributing ADF files inside .ZIP archives is the conventional practice for Amiga software distribution online.

- Copy-protected Amiga disks stored as IPF rather than ADF will have existing compatibility issues that ZIP compression does not resolve.
