Wat is het FETCHMIRROR-bestandsformaat?
Een .fetchmirror bestand is een opgeslagen instellingendocument gemaakt door Fetch, de FTP-, SFTP- en FTPS-client voor macOS gemaakt door Fetch Softworks. Fetch heeft een Mirror-functie die nieuwe of gewijzigde bestanden kopieert tussen een map op uw Mac en een map op een externe server, in beide richtingen. Dat is een gebruikelijke manier om een website actueel te houden of om een back-up van een map naar een server te maken.
Wanneer u een Mirror-venster instelt en op Bewaar drukt, schrijft Fetch de configuratie in een .fetchmirror document. Het bestand registreert het lokale mappad, het externe mappad, de host, de gebruikersnaam, de synchronisatierichting en of losse items op de bestemming moeten worden verwijderd. Het slaat uw wachtwoord niet op. Als een verbinding er een nodig heeft, vraagt Fetch erom of leest het uit de macOS Sleutelhanger. Onder de motorkap is het bestand een Apple property list, hetzelfde sleutel-waarde-formaat dat macOS gebruikt voor .plist instellingen, dus de inhoud is gestructureerd in plaats van een platte binaire blob.
Beveiliging & veiligheid
RISICO: LOWA .fetchmirror file is a small settings document, not an executable, and it does not contain passwords. The main caution is that it stores host names, usernames, and folder paths in readable form, so treat it as mildly sensitive and avoid sharing it publicly. It only does anything when opened in Fetch on a Mac.
