Che cos'è il formato di file LRLIBRARY?
Un file .lrlibrary è la libreria locale utilizzata dalla versione basata su cloud di Adobe Lightroom, l'app desktop che Adobe distribuisce ora semplicemente come Lightroom (precedentemente Lightroom CC), distinta da Lightroom Classic. È stata introdotta con l'ecosistema cloud di Lightroom nel 2017.
Nonostante l'estensione, non si tratta di un singolo file. Su macOS è un pacchetto; su Windows è una cartella ordinaria. Lightroom lo crea automaticamente all'installazione e lo nomina Lightroom Library.lrlibrary all'interno della cartella Immagini. All'interno si trova una sottocartella con un lungo nome alfanumerico che contiene una cartella originals di foto importate in sottocartelle datate, uno o più file di catalogo .mcat, database ausiliari, una cache e log di migrazione e modifica. I database del catalogo sono in formato SQLite.
Poiché questa versione di Lightroom conserva le foto nel cloud, il file .lrlibrary funge principalmente da cache locale e archivio di lavoro piuttosto che da record principale. Questa è la differenza principale rispetto al catalogo .lrcat di Lightroom Classic, che è il database primario.

RISCHIO: LOWThe .lrlibrary is a local data package created by Adobe Lightroom and carries no executable code, so it is not a malware vector by itself. The main practical risk is disk usage, since it can grow to many gigabytes as originals are cached locally. Deleting it is safe only if your photos are fully synced to Adobe's cloud or if you no longer use the cloud-based Lightroom; deleting it while unsynced originals remain can lose those images.
