Was ist das LRLIBRARY-Dateiformat?
Eine .lrlibrary-Datei ist die lokale Bibliothek, die von der cloudbasierten Version von Adobe Lightroom verwendet wird - der Desktop-App, die Adobe heute einfach als Lightroom (ehemals Lightroom CC) ausliefert, getrennt von Lightroom Classic. Sie wurde 2017 mit dem Cloud-Ökosystem von Lightroom eingeführt.
Trotz der Dateiendung handelt es sich nicht um eine einzelne Datei. Unter macOS ist es ein Paket; unter Windows ein gewöhnlicher Ordner. Lightroom erstellt sie automatisch bei der Installation und benennt sie Lightroom Library.lrlibrary innerhalb Ihres Bilder-Ordners. Im Inneren befindet sich ein Unterordner mit einem langen alphanumerischen Namen, der einen originals-Ordner mit importierten Fotos in datierten Unterordnern, eine oder mehrere .mcat-Katalogdateien, Hilfsdatenbanken, einen Cache sowie Migrations- und Bearbeitungsprotokolle enthält. Die Katalogdatenbanken basieren auf SQLite.
Da dieses Lightroom Ihre Fotos in der Cloud speichert, fungiert die .lrlibrary hauptsächlich als lokaler Cache und Arbeitsspeicher und nicht als Hauptdatensatz. Dies ist der Hauptunterschied zum .lrcat-Katalog von Lightroom Classic, der die primäre Datenbank darstellt.

RISIKO: LOWThe .lrlibrary is a local data package created by Adobe Lightroom and carries no executable code, so it is not a malware vector by itself. The main practical risk is disk usage, since it can grow to many gigabytes as originals are cached locally. Deleting it is safe only if your photos are fully synced to Adobe's cloud or if you no longer use the cloud-based Lightroom; deleting it while unsynced originals remain can lose those images.
