What to expect

- SNB is proprietary to the Shanda Bambook reader and is not widely supported elsewhere.
- Plain text carries no chapter structure, images or fonts, so the ebook stays unstyled.
Frequently asked questions
How does the text appear in an SNB ebook?
The words carry over and reflow into ebook pages, so text wraps to the reader's screen instead of keeping fixed line lengths. Paragraph breaks are kept where the source marks them.
Why convert a TXT to SNB?
SNB is the native ebook format of the Shanda Bambook e-reader, so converting a plain-text file produces a book that device can display.
Where can an SNB file be opened?
SNB is a proprietary Chinese e-reader format with limited support. Calibre reads and writes it, but most other readers do not, so EPUB is the more portable choice when the Bambook is not the target.
What is lost going from plain text to an ebook?
Plain text has no chapters, images or styling, so the SNB is a simple unformatted text ebook. Chapter divisions and formatting would have to come from markup the TXT does not contain.
