Why convert RPT to PDF?
A .rpt file is a proprietary binary report definition that only SAP's own software can reliably render. Exporting to .pdf produces a file that opens in any browser or PDF viewer without Crystal Reports installed, and freezes the report output at a point in time for archiving or client delivery.
