What to expect
- Converting ORF to PNG is a one-way process - the raw sensor data is rendered into a fixed image, so always keep the original
ORFfile. - Standard PNG does not carry EXIF metadata, so camera model, lens, exposure settings, and GPS coordinates are stripped from the exported file.
- PNG is lossless but large for photographic content - a 20 MP export can reach 20-40 MB; use JPEG if file size matters.
