Why convert ODS to WK1?
WK1 (Lotus 1-2-3 Release 2 Worksheet) is a proprietary binary record stream introduced in 1985 for DOS-era software. LibreOffice Calc dropped WK1 export support as the format became obsolete; Microsoft Excel never supported writing it. Lotus 1-2-3 was formally discontinued in 2013, leaving no current application that produces new WK1 files; .CSV or XLSX are the recommended alternatives for data exchange.
How to convert ODS to WK1
LibreOffice Calc FREE
Open the .ods file and go to File > Save As > Text CSV (.csv) for the most compatible plain-data export. If the target application accepts XLS, choose Microsoft Excel 97-2003 (.xls) instead.
Microsoft Excel APP
Open or import the .ods data in Microsoft Excel and save as CSV or XLS via File > Save As for the broadest compatibility with older software.
Apache OpenOffice Calc (OpenOffice.org Calc) FREE
Open the .ods file and use File > Save As > Text CSV to export plain values that legacy software can import.
